CO-Create Bold Spaces

The Black Cornerstones Community is a group of ordinary people co-creating bold and extrordinary spaces where communities can connect. We are looking to eradicate racial oppression through strengthening civic engagement to build power in Black communities on Chicago's South and West Side which experience disproportionate rates of intra-community violence, community divestment, and systemic poverty. This trauma has been amplified as a result of the Covid pandemic causing a complete disconnect from neighbors excluding them from access to the relationship building-blocks necessary to build power. Black Cornerstones believes, "Community is Love in Action." We are the true first responders for our communities.
